Toyota has built a solid reputation for being an eco-friendly automaker. Its "green" models, like the Toyota Prius, have demonstrated to consumers for many years that the company is devoted to sustainability. 11 Toyota Hybrids in the Works for 2013

It doesn't come as a surprise that Toyota, the company that introduced Prius to the world, is planning to have 11 new and revamped hybrid models by 2013. Between the Toyota and Lexus nameplates, the automaker is currently selling eight hybrid models in the US. They have already committed to releasing six new models before 2012.

Plug-in Prius is Ready To Drive

Before his seven week journey in the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid prototype, one might have called Auto Week writer Mark Vaughn a "skeptic of alternative fuel." After having the chance to tour 3,224 miles around Southern California in the Toyota Prius Plug-in, 387 of which were done on electricity, the skeptic lightened his tune.

2012 Toyota iQ

With the release of the RAV4 and Prius Plug-in, Toyota is revving up more electric vehicle news. There is also a new, small Toyota iQ headed to the US in 2012.
