At this month's Frankfurt Motor Show, Toyota showcased their new Prius Plug-In Hybrid. Thanks to the plug-in component the new Toyota Prius variant offers about 11.2 miles more in range compared to its conventional Prius counterpart.

Although Toyota has faced many uphill battles over the past year, it is still considered very successful.  Unfortunately, the Luxury division of Lexus has not had the same results. It may appear like its doing fine to the common American eye having outperformed both the Tri-Pointed Star and Beamer, in the U.S.  The problem lies in its performance around the rest of the world where Lexus sales simply succumb to the German rivals.
